Village July 4th Celebration
WPHS Reunion
Western Auction

An Open House of the Renaissance Village is planned for July 3rd. Ethnic
homes will be open for touring allowing people to step back into the early
20th century and remember days of wood stoves, Victrola music boxes, and
four room houses.

Entertainment and food will be available to make the day enjoyable.

An auction will be held in the afternoon with all proceeds going to the Village
improvements. Many items will be auctioned. Over 20 antique saddles will be
offered this year. Check out www.elyrenaissance.com for descriptions.

Mark your calendar and plan to attend this great opportunity.  Reunion
attendees can pick up free WPHS lanyards at Village.

WPHS Athletic Boosters

The White Pine Athletic Boosters will
be presenting scholarships once
again for the 2006-2007 school year
on
May 22, 2007. The Boosters
spent the year supporting several
teams in their efforts to acquire
uniforms and equipment with our up
to $500 matching funds program.

All seniors were recognized in
Senior Recognition and sports rally
programs for all sports they have
participated in.  This also includes
cheerleading and dance teams.

We put together a really great sports
book with information about athletes,
sports schedules, etc., for each sport
throughout the year.

We have planned to host a golf
tournament to be held on
June 30,
2007
at the White Pine Golf Course.
We will be needing your help and
support for this event.

The Boosters will once again be
hosting the annual Barbecue Fun
Dance (BFD) dinner (BBQ, Fun,
Dance) to be held  on
June 30,
2007
. The dinner will start at 6:00
p.m. with the band starting at 8:00
p.m. - playing until midnight.  The
location will be in the County Park
across from the Middle School.

We are still planning a substantial
contribution for the proposed sports
complex and of course, pledge our
continued support of all White Pine
High School Athletic Programs.

We will be holding elections for new
officers for the upcoming school
year in June.

If you want to know more about our
group and what we are all
about--plan on attending our next
meeting.  We meet the first
Wednesday of each month at the
White Pine School District Office
Meeting Room. You can contact the
current President, Wendy Anderson
at 775-289-4397
for more information.

We appreciate everyone's help and
support in what we try to accomplish
for the sports programs at White Pine
High School.  New membership for
the Boosters starts in
September
2007
.  The cost is $15 for an
individual or $20 for a family. Our
scholarships are awarded on the
basis of membership and
participation in the organization

WPHS Band

The White Pine High School
Band Boosters continue in our
ongoing efforts to support the
band program at the
high school.  We help fund
trips for the band as well as
helping provide financial
support for the program by
helping with instrument needs,
repairs and other needed
supplies for performances as
well as for the
classroom.  We have a variety
of fundraisers to meet our
goals.

One of our ongoing large
fundraisers is selling
calendars.  These cost $20
each and offer multiple
chances to
win cash throughout the year.
There are weekly and special
occasion drawings with the
minimum prize being
$25.  Many alumni already
purchase these and we would
like to encourage all alumni to
participate in this great
bargain.

To join (annual dues only $5
per year per person), buy a
calendar,  make a donation, or
give us new ideas,
please contact us.  WPHS
Band Boosters,  P.O. Box

Looking forward to hearing
from you.
