This cabin is typical of shelter for the
man who searched the hills looking for
nuggets of gold or veins of silver.

Water came down from a nearby stream,
and an outdoor toilet was used by more
"cultured" prospectors.

The wood stove was prized for its pot of
beans.

Authentic mining tools were contributed
for this cabin by the Farnsworth family .
Glenn and Virginia Terry maintain the
Prospector Cabin.
